Heaven's Agenda | C. S. Lewis
Heaven's Agenda | C. S. Lewis
Subject of Heaven
One of the characteristics that made the scholar, writer, and critic C.S. Lewis famous was his extraordinary ability to approach any topic with insight, whether in his writings or his lectures. This ability was even more peculiar due to the fact that most of the observations, comments, and analyses he made were based on his Christian value system. Thus, deliberately or by chance, he provided a vast amount of material with clear devotional and moral content throughout his work. Acting as a prospector, the American literary consultant Walter Hooper set out to select especially inspiring excerpts from Lewis's writings – a task that could not have been accomplished by better hands, as Hooper was the private secretary of the author of The Chronicles of Narnia, Mere Christianity, and The Space Trilogy in his last years of life. The result of his research was a compilation of inspirational messages for the 365 days of the year.
