A blessing for the local church.

The ministry of women in the local church is a blessing and should be recognized as a sign of God's grace.

From the very first book of the Bible, we can see the predominant role of women in the development of Christ’s redemptive plan. In Genesis, we see how Eve worked negatively by inducing Adam to disobey God’s commandment; however, we also find women like Queen Esther, who, acting as a submissive wife, managed to influence her husband, the king, to benefit the Israelites. Not to mention, of course, the many women who used their gifts and talents in favor of God’s kingdom. In Scripture, we have Ruth, Priscilla, Anna, Lydia, Mary, among others.

There are different roles and levels of leadership in which women can and should act, both at home and in the church, without disrespecting the authority of men or disobeying God's guidelines for ecclesiastical order (1 Tim 2:11-12). In fact, biblical male leadership gives space for women to be involved in carrying out different functions, especially with regard to discipling and teaching women. When this ministry fulfills its role, the church families benefit and the entire surrounding community is impacted.

In this work, Catherine Nez brought together a team of Christian women to present a biblical vision about this ministry, aiming to encourage other sisters to fulfill the vocation of building the church of Christ.
