Who Are You When No One Is Looking?

We always try to do the right thing when our name and image are at stake. But when no one is looking, what do we do? Courage, discipline, vision, perseverance, love—character virtues that are in danger of extinction. All too often we hear of marriages falling apart, government officials lying, businessmen acting dishonestly, and scandals rocking the life of the church. But despite the many temptations and difficulties, we can still, with God’s help and guidance, cultivate and maintain a firm, unshakable character.
